Archimedes Lever

The Replenish Waterpower hydropower technology is an adaptation of a pivoting Archimedes lever-based tidal energy converter conceptualized by Ronald Simeon Eiselstein, Youngstown, Ohio.  The pivoting lever is driven by water flowing into a feed tank, or a series of levers feeding tanks, which when reciprocating, will drive a hydraulic power take-off unit to drive an electrical generator.

Patented Technology

Replenish Waterpower, LLC lever-based hydropower generation technology is internationally patented. Patent applications have been filed in the USA, Canada, Brazil, Colombia, the EU, India, the Philippines and Fiji with more countries to follow.

The Archimedes Lever

While Archimedes did not invent the lever, he gave a mathematical proof of the principle involved in his work On the Equilibrium of Planes.  Greek Middle Platonist philosopher Plutarch describes how Archimedes designed block-and-tackle pulley systems, allowing sailors to use the principle of leverage to lift objects that would otherwise have been too heavy to move.  Archimedes’ work on levers caused him to remark: “Give me a place to stand on, and I will move the Earth.”
